This log begins several poses after the RP did. Erdin, Aracynn, and several other Rohirrim are camped in the outskirts of the Golden Wood with a galadhrim they had taken prisoner in Rohan. I (Galenaldar) have been 'assigned' to watch them to make sure they don't cause harm to the wood while the Lord & Lady of Lorien consider the prisoner exchange...our Erinstar for their Fiordor. As a watcher, the rohirrim know me as 'Tirdae' (basically means 'shadow-watcher' or 'shadowy-watcher' in Sindarin). Erdin is still unconcious from the hit on the head he took in the storm. Aracyn is tending his wounds... From beyond the shadows, Aracynn knees be the fire, erdin stretched out with hie head pillowed near her. I have a DARK object nearby that serves as a means for me to dissapear into the shadows around the forest. Throughout this RP I'll be SHADOWing and APPEARing. I've edited out the spammy room descs to better aide the flow of the log
appear Erdin lays by the fire, eyes closed and is not moving Galenaldar silently appears from out of the shadows around the camp. He moves directly towards Erdin. Once there, he studies him visually, taking stock of his condition. Aracynn busies herself by the fire, heating water in a small makeshift kettle. Aracynn turns quickly as she sense someone near. Her eyes look upon the suddenly appearing Elf. After a moment of studying Erdin, Galen notices Aracynn's gaze and moves over to her. He speaks quietly, not wishing to wake the ailing Erdin, "How is he, healer?" Aracynn shakes her head as she takes the pot from the fire, adding herbs to it and coveringit carefully so as not to loose any of the steam..."He is not ewell...the limb did more damage then I first suspected. He has not moved for sometime...I am affraid... Galenaldar frowns thoughtfull, and once again studies Erdin, "I like that news not. If you feel it may be necessary, I could have one of our healers sent for." Aracynn's grey eyes are indeed strained, you gather this feeling does not sit well with the overly proud Rohirrim Lady. Galenaldar reads your expression perfectly, and continues, "I do not doubt your skill, but the truth remains that there are healers in our Wood, the likes of which you have never seen." Aracynn motions to the muddied area around them,"This is no place to take care fo an injured man. He needs a bed, not this germ infested ground to lay on. Your healers may look at him yes, but have some compassion and at least help me move him into an proper infirmery. Aracynn sets up the steamer and moves to change the bandages on Erdin's forhead....shaking her head slowly as her fingers delicately probe the area. Erdin's eyes do not open, but he groans while Aracynn moves him. Galenaldar watches Aracynn treat the wound as he thinks of his course of action. Aracynn throws down the dirty bandag in discust,"This is impossible, I have not the propper supplies for this!" Aracynn looks up at the elf,"What of a trade?" Galenaldar frowns as he watches the futility of your dirty bandages, "Though I fear moving your friend into the wood to a proper infirmary, shall take the permission of those higher up than myself, I can in the mean time be sure you get proper supplies." With that, he dissapears back in to the shadows.

appear Galenaldar stops as he hears your words, "A trade M'lady? Of what sort?" Erdin lays still, his face is very pale Aracynn looks down at Erdin then up to the elf,"Your friend..Erinstar...I release him to you. You tzaake us to a proper infirmery so that I can aid this men here....and i give you my life's word that we will do nothing ontoward. Until such time as he is able to leave once more...you may consider me your prisoner. I am not without importance amoung my people. Aracynn says, "I give you my word, not only as Blood of the Mark, but as high Hel(Healer) to the Lafdy Yavana." Galenaldar stands motionless, studying you as he thinks about your 'offer'. Galenaldar finally speaks in his now distinctive quiet tone, "I shall have to check with my superiors before I may give you an answer. I will leave you now for a short time while I speak to those concerned. In the mean time, I will send a squire back with fresh bandages and other materials." Aracynn nods solumnly (sp) ,"I thank you, and wait for your response." Galenaldar nods quickly and turns, his cloak waving out behind him as he moves to the riverside. He lets out a call that sounds so much like a bird that if you weren't watching him, you'd swear it was real. In response to this call, a rope bridge is raised and he crosses.
across You stand riverside, in Dwimordene, amidst the grey bowls of the mallyrn and the conceiling underbrush on the eastern banks of the river Celebrant. It is here in these golden woods where the rolling foothills of the Misties come to an end and in the Elven realm of Lothlorien, often called Dwimordene or Dreamland by men, begins. It's Winter, and the mallyrn's golden leaves fill thier boughs as they sleep the winter away. Presently, soft moonlight bathes the night forest in a silver light while the brighter stars glitter through the leafy canopy. Glynnis emerges from the dense forest. Glynnis has arrived. Glynnis enters silently, the gems upon her brow glowing slightly. Galenaldar salutes Glynnis as she enters, "Mae govannen, ma'am." Glynnis returns the salute, glancing idly towards the river. Galenaldar lets out a quick, short call. In response, shortly a squire trots up and salutes the group. Glynnis looks at the squire expectantly. Galenaldar motions for the squire to wait for a moment while he speaks to Glynnis. Galenaldar looks to Glynnis, "If I may speak freely ma'am, I bring news from the Rohirrim camp." Glynnis nods. "Speak, then." You say, "In last night's storm, a dying limb broke from its tree and in its fall struck the leader of the Rohirrim on the head. He is injured badly, and although a healer of his own people is with him she seems to be having little success in healing his wound. She blames this on the squalid conditions following the storm. (more)" Elithrome nods knowingly. You say, "I offered to send for one of our own master healers to 'assist' her in her efforts, but she seems to insist on being taken to a proper infirmary where she may work in clean conditions. She has offered to release the squire Erinstar and put herself in our hands if she may only be taken to such an infirmary."" Glynnis smirks. Glynnis says, "Sounds like a trick to enter our lands." Galenaldar pauses in his speach as he waits for your reaction. Glynnis says, "What do her commanders have to say of her offer?" Elithrome gazes westward across the river towards Nimrodel... Elithrome looks intently across the river... Galenaldar nods slowly, "Indeed, though I agree that conditions in the area are certainly not conducive to healing. As for her commanders, she is not in contact with them. In essence, she is alone with her ailing captain and a warrior as protection." Glynnis nods. "And what does this warrior have to say? Will he leave quietly?" Elithrome watches the proceedings curiously. Galenaldar shakes his head, "I know not. In truth, I have seen little of him in my watches as he stays in his tent most of the day and is generally reclusive." The squire shifts in his stance, but remains attentive as he waits for his orders. Glynnis smirks. "Quite the guard. I will take this up with her Ladyship. If she acquieces, the healer will have entry If she demurs, she will make do with what she has out there. THey are basically laying seige to us, are they not? Elithrome smirks. Galenaldar smiles slightly, "I wouldn't call it siege Protector. They are merely seeking information on a lost commrade. Of course, they still don't know that he is within our wood and under our protection." Glynnis says, "And I wish to keep it that way. If she is allowed entry, before she reaches this spot have the prisoner rendered unconscious so that he may not cry out and reveal his presence here." Galenaldar frowns, "Indeed, it will be trying to keep them from discovering each other. All quendi within the city would need be aware of the situation so that they may act accordingly." Elithrome looks intently across the river... Glynnis nods, then sighs. "I fear this will not be possible. There is too much of a security risk in letting them in the city. Tell them to rejoin their comrades by the Anduin. I will not have this place becoming a way-station for inept travellers." Galenaldar raises an eyebrow, "They have comrades south of here? I was not aware that there were others. I'm afraid my constant watch of their campsite has kept me out of the information loop around here." Glynnis nods. Glynnis says, "Indeed." Galenaldar frowns, "A thought has come to me: This injured man is apparently a leader among his people. I hesitate to think what returning him injured may do to the already strenuous relations we have with the men of the plains." Glynnis says, "We had nothing to do with his injury." Galenaldar takes a long moment to respond, "True, but to refuse aid when asked. What do you think of sending several of out healers to deal with him where he lays now? The Rohirrim healer's own pride may prevent them from actually helping the stricken man, but at least they shall know that we offered aid when needed." Glynnis nods. "That is acceptable." Glynnis says, "Tell them to say nothing of the captive, however." Galenaldar nods, "Of course." Galenaldar then turns to the squire waiting nearby, "Squire, I have told the healer across the river I'd send her fresh supplies...bandages mainly...while I discussed her request." The squire nods, then salutes as he heads off into the trees in search of the bandages. Glynnis says, "What of Erinstar? How fares he? Lst I heard he was injured." Galenaldar turns back to Glynnis as the squire trots off, "Aye, he has been injured, but he seems to be recovering well. I have spoken with him on several occassions and though he likes not the fact that he is a prisoner, the treatment he is recieving is adequate." Glynnis smirks. "If he likes it not, all he needs do is cross the river. He stays of his own volition, according to reports I have received." Galenaldar nods, "Indeed, and I believe that is why he doesn't complain about his captors." Glynnis nods. Galenaldar pauses as a thought seems to rattle around in his head for a moment, "Protector, I just remember a discussion Erdin and I had just before the storm hit. It was vague enough at the time, that I just dismissed it...until now. I may have some bearing on matters at hand." Glynnis says, "Speak." Elithrome looks across the river and sympathy fills his heart for the struggling humans. You say, "Erdin seemed troubled by something and as I watched, he began to confide in me some of his distress and confusion. It seems that some time ago, he was a good friend of the Dunedan Elorien...though Erdin called him a Ranger. This Elorien it seems spoke to Erdin about us and told him to trust us if the need ever arose. Indeed, it was Elorien who showed Erdin the way here so that he may be sure to find us."" Suddenly, the squire Galen sent off to find supplies bursts through the foliage with an full arm load of bandages, soutchers, ect... Galenaldar looks to the squire for a moment and then motions for him to take the supplies across the river to the healer there. The squire seems reluctant at first, then after a look from Galen, he moves to the rope bridge and crosses. Miraculously, he doesn't drop any of the supplies into the river as he crosses. Glynnis sighs. Glynnis says, "Wonderful." Glynnis says, "Then why did he not trust us when we told him we saw no sign of his friend? It seems he disregarded his friends' message before he was injured."
Here I begin RPing for both myself and the elf carrying the bandages across the river. You remit, "Suddenly, a cloaked elf appears as he crosses the river and moves towards you. His cowl is grey, so you know immediately it's not Tirdae returning." in Western Bank of the River Celebrant You remit, "You notice as the elf moves closer that his arms are laden with a full assortment of bandages, soutchers, ect.." in Western Bank of the River Celebrant Elithrome looks intently across the river... Galenaldar shakes his head, "Nay, I believe the reason he was staying was because the healer with him is a very good friend of this Fiordor. She is very stubborn as well. Without her, I believe he would have left Erinstar with us, and gone about his search for his companion elsewhere." You remit, "The elf moves towards you, stretching his arms out with the bandages in a motion meant to offer them to you." in Western Bank of the River Celebrant Elithrome walks around the trees humming to himself. Glynnis frowns. "Well, we seem to be on the horns of a dilemma. I do not wish to become a haven for foolish human wanderers, yet where does the hospitality ofthe road start?" Galenaldar nods slowly, "It seems we share the same indecision, Protector. I have little love for these brash humans, but this Erdin seems different in many ways. Indeed, even Erinstar spoke highly of him, asking me to look upon him with favor." Glynnis sighs. Glynnis says, "Very well. I suggest we leave the healer outside and let this Erinstar in to be treated and removed as soon as possible." Elithrome walks up to a particularly old and large mallorn and scolds, "Why haven't you taught your children about dropping their limbs onto humans." Glynnis grins. "She probably has." Galenaldar nods, "I fear the healer will not like this arrangement, but I agree with your decision. Let me extend the offer and I shall return with her answer shortly." The mallorn stands silent. Galenaldar casts a smile to the forester and his 'flock' Elithrome shakes his head. Glynnis nods. Galenaldar salutes quickly before turning back to the river and jogging over the ropebridge.
across
Aracynn is speaking to the squire I sent over. I've had to keep up with her half of the conversation through pages. Aracynn says, "You think you are so much above us, just because you live forever...well your behavior here shows you are little better then the spawn of Mordor!" Aracynn snaps her words off as she sees the familier one. Galenaldar hops off his end of the bridge and moves towards the group. A deep frown grows upon his face as he hears the healer's words. He puts a hand on the shoulder of his squire as he speaks to Aracynn in his continual cool tone, "I hope you enjoy abusing one that only seeks to help you. Indeed, he cannot even understand your words." Galenaldar speaks to the Squire in their native language, "(Sindarin) Do not let her heated words get to you mellon. You are dismissed and may return to your previous duties." Aracynn gives a pointed look to the trees and across the river,"My words were not for him alone." The squire responds to Galen with a salute, then turns to cross the river once again without one more look to the yelling human female. Aracynn's grey eyes still snap with anger, the strain in them quite evident. Erdin lays in the mud, his once flowing blond hair is now matted and stuck to his head. He lies still Galenaldar frowns as he speaks, "Of course they are not for him alone. You would doom an entire race of people you know nothing about." He then nods to himself, "Yes, that seems just to me." Aracynn replies,"An entire race that shuts themselves off, even from those in need," Galenaldar makes a motion, dismissing your retort, "We have come to a decision. I am here to present our offer of kindness to he that lays stricken in the mud. If you would prefer not to hear it and continue with your assumptions about me and my people, then by all means, let him continue to lay here in the mud." Aracynn snaps her mouth shut once more,"For give me and speak...please." As the words roll off her tongue, you hear the sincerity behind them...and also that they are words that she does not often speak. Galenaldar takes a moment as he looks down to Erdin, when he again raises his eyes to you he speaks, "We haved deemed Erdin worthy of entering our lands and entering the very heart of our city where he will be cured of all that ails him. Unfortunately, due to reasons I shall not discuss, you Aracynn shall not be allowed to accompany him...nor will the other that camps with you." Aracynn frowns then nods,"And in thanks for your aid to the Capt...I hand over Erinstar to you. But know this, I will not leave this place without him...or word of the one I seek. I leave him in your care. Aracynn puts out a hand to forstall Galen,"Have any of your scouts possibly seen our horses? Galenaldar nods slowly, "You have chosen wisely. I will begin moving Erdin immediately. I cannot of course prevent you from waiting here for him. However, I cannot say how long his healing will take." Galenaldar pauses, "The horses? Nay, I have heard no reports about them. Aracynn nods in response as if time is no consequence...even tho you know their supplies to be dwindling. Aracynn goes over to the small overhang serving as a tent and leads Erin out,"There, you are free to go."
Here, I also begin RPing Erinstar's part in this. We had pretty much worked out his reaction before hand in case his IC release should come while he was offline. Erinstar walks to Tirdae Erinstar looks around dumbfoundedly, then looks to Tirdae as though to affirm this. Tirdae just nods and motions for Erin to move across the river. Erinstar looks back to the stricken Erdin then moves across the river on the rope bridge that has been raised. Erinstar has left. Galenaldar watches Erin go, then moves towards Erdin. He looks to Aracynn as he gently lifts the stricken man from the mud, "I shall try to return or send word once I have him settled in." Aracynn nods. An unseasy look crosses her face,"You...you will take good care of him...." Erdin is picked up by the elf, his body hangs motionless Erdin has left. Aracynn still looks slightly uneasy, perhaps remembering stories from childhood..but too late now, she must place her trust in someone,"Then I will be expecting wood from you on his condition." Galenaldar turns slowly, bearing Erdin with great caution. He the nods as he walks away, "I shall send it as soon as I may." With that, he begins to work his way across the bridge. You have requested that "Erdin" be admitted into Lorien. A guardsman from the Daedagnir patrol of the Galadhrim Guard rushes to deliver this message to the patrols at Riverside... Aracynn's grey eyes watch as the twpo dissapear.
across Galenaldar hops off the rope bridge carrying an unconcious human. Galenaldar moves downstream with a purposefull stride, taking care not to bump his charge overmuch.

Uneventfull travel by boat towards the city omitted
Forest Pathway You notice that Elithrome just glanced at you.
Players here: Elithrome eyes the unconcious human warily. Galenaldar pauses as he nears you, "Greetings mellon." Elithrome sighs, "Yeh, mae govannen, looks like you have the injured human." Galenaldar nods, "Indeed, this is the one. I take it the city has been notified of his coming?" Elithrome says, "I think so. Don't let me slow you. I'm just waking the herd." Galenaldar nods, "Very well, namarie" Elithrome says, "Namarie"
More uneventfull travel through the city to the infirmary You head into the Infrimary.
Infirmary You pull aside the curtain and head into Infirmary Room #1. Erdin has arrived.
Hrm...seems the log got cut off. The remainder of the RP was merely me explaining the situation to Lendalas. Erdin is now resting in the infirmary while Lendalas attends his wounds. |
