Naith of Lorien Terridan smiles again, "It was a mistake that I am sure you will never do again... and it is also good that you know have some modesty." Asira fidgets from one foot to the other, in fear that a reprisal is coming..she wracks her brain thinking of some mistake she may have done,"Is everything alright Terridan? Terridan nods slowly, then pulls his sword from its sheathe, "Everything is fine... kneel Squire Asira..." Asira blinks in suprise and obediently drops to one knee, head bowed before the young Corporal. Terridan's face becomes emotionless, "Asira Cultasare... I ask to to repeat the vows that you took when you joined the Order," he drives the point of his sword into the earth before him, then looks to Asira, "Do you swear to protect the Lady Galadriel, and the Lord Celeborn to the best of your abilities. Do you swear to defend Lothlorien and its inhabitants, if necessary to even give your life?" Asira looks up at Terridan, a fierce loyalty rises in her heart..she thinks of the Uruk and her growning hatred for them... She can answer with honesty, "I do." Terridan nods approvingly, then lifts his sword slowly, resting it gently on Asira's right shoulder, "Strength, as of the Earth beneath
us..." Asira stands and returns the salute to Terridan, she blushes and smiles broadly,"How did this come about?" She supresses an urge to hug the corporal. The rest of the guards at the naith let out a brief, but energetic cheer, the ones close to Asira saluting her as well. Asira smiles to everyone and shakes her head in disbelief. She is very happy. Terridan smiles widely, "The officers have seen your progress.. and believed that it was time for it..." he clasps her on the shoulder, "It is well earned." Asira says, "Thank-you my friend." Asira looks at Terridan with pride showing in here eyes,"I wish my father was here to see this." Terridan smiles softly, "I am sure that we would be proud of you, mellon..." he salutes again, "Now, if you will excuse me, I must be off, Namarië.." Asira waves good bye. |
