Aftermath of a troll in Vale

Field Hospital
You are in a small clearing cut into the thickets. All about you, the bushes and trees grow thick and unwavering, blocking out most of the sunlight and dimming the atmosphere. Dispite the lack of sunlight or moonlight, the clearing gives of a calm, quiet, secure feeling. Here is where the Cuigrithweg have made their Field Hospital. Several woven mats are laid about on the ground in neat rows and a pair of small chests rest at the north side of the Hospital. High above the mats, a large tarp is strung to provide some shelter on the off chance that it should rain. On the south side of the clearing, a small stream runs by the Hospital. It also serves as the only entrance and exit.

The hospital is quiet, calm, only the sounds of resting elves reaches your ears. As you look about you see Terridan lying on a cot, his complextion pale, and his eyes half closed. His right side is heavily banaged.

It is dark here; at best 'tis wan, pale; even though high overhead the sun blazes the light of early evening down unto the eaves of the mallyrn. All is quiet, calm; patients lay resting upon their mats, as the lightest of breezes wafts through the hospital. As such, the approach of some unkown via the nearby stream might be considered noisy, and indeed it is, as Glinden enters the small clearing.

Terridan looks up to Glinden slowly, a slight smile coming to his face, "Mae govannen, cousin."

Kathalis lays back quietly in his cot his eyes closed he slowly opens his eyes slowly as he hears Terridan greet Glinden he smile slightly, "Mae govennen Glinden"

To each in turn, the elleth offers up a nod, by way of greeting. She is cloaked, as she is wont to be; though her cowl is back upon her shoulders, and her fiery hair, unhindered falls to her waist, and is thrown hither and thither by the breeze, "Cousin," She says to the first, then to the other, "Kathalis,"

Kathalis smiles slightly, his features a bit pale says softly, "You are looking well today mellon...."

Talia sleeps on her cot beside Kathalis, oblivious to what is going on around her.Terridan smiles slightly, his features pale as well, "How are you today, Glinden?"

Glinden shrugs then, "Better than some it would seem," She motions absently to a multitude of self-evident wounds. Her voice remains low and quiet, so as not to disturb those other folk that are resting.

Terridan nods slowly, "Aye... though we are improving..."

Kathalis says softly, "I have had much worse mellon...." he winces slightly as he shifts.

Glinden nods her assent, though she is slow to do so, "Have not we all?" She says then, for indeed, her own sojourns among the healers have been lengthly, and innumerable, "It is well that none were lost to the beast."

Terridan sighs softly, "Aye... that is fortunate indeed..."

Kathalis shakes his head slightly and says softly, "We should have never engaged that beast....."

Glinden smiles a wan smile at that, "Ah, but never should the forces of the enemy pass uncontested so near to our land, and the folk of the woods shall not be called craven, or laughed off the field, eh?" She smiles still, though her tone is somewhat mocking, "And yet one would think that our folk would have more sense than to engage such a creature within arms reach?"

Kathalis says softly, "I had to go a foot to try to keep the beast away from Aglahad..."

Terridan nods slowly, "It was not our decision to attack it at that range... I have never seen one move so fast..."

Glinden shakes her head then, "Do not attempt to justify the action, cousin. Instead of one, many lay now in this place; and all might be dead, were it not for a timely increase in our numbers."

Kathalis says softly, "I could not just stay up there and lose one of mine..." closing his eyes, he was my responsibility..."

Terridan looks over towards Kathalis slowly, "It was all our responsibility, mellon..."

Glinden waves that off, "Responsibilities of a commander upon the field do not iclude placing others in unnecessary danger." She looks to Terridan, "And cousin, do not think to state the obvious among others that know it all too well."

Kathalis snaps at Glinden, "Don't you think I know that." attempting to sit up, his face twisting in a mask of pure pain, but he continues, "That is why I told them to stay to the trees...Until Aglahad was taked down by that hammer strike...."

Terridan nods slowly to Kathalis' words, "I only left the trees to try to help both Talia and Menelaina... I did not wish to injure them with any arrows from my bow..."

Kathalis sits up on his cot, his face a mask of pain and anger but his voice low and steady as he finishes speaking at Glinden.

Glinden shakes her head then, despairing of whatever line of conversation she followed. Waving the captain off, she heads for the thickets, and crosses the stream.
