Chatting at the Field Hospital again

Field Hospital
You are in a small clearing cut into the thickets. All about you, the bushes and trees grow thick and unwavering, blocking out most of the sunlight and dimming the atmosphere. Dispite the lack of sunlight or moonlight, the clearing gives of a calm, quiet, secure feeling. Here is where the Cuigrithweg have made their Field Hospital. Several woven mats are laid about on the ground in neat rows and a pair of small chests rest at the north side of the Hospital. High above the mats, a large tarp is strung to provide some shelter on the off chance that it should rain. On the south side of the clearing, a small stream runs by the Hospital. It also serves as the only entrance and exit.

Aldarwen and Mirelas are sitting by the wounded Terridan, who is resting on a cot. The two maidens are talking quietly among themselves.

From the thickets, walking through the tall brush and tangled briar; but quietly, (Indeed, without a noise) Gillhach, the huntmaster can be seen to leap 'cross the stream before the cuigrithweg's hospital; walking up the bank, and entering into the outpost.

Turning slightly toward th thickets, Aldarwen nods to the arriving maiden with a smile upon her lips. She then returns her gaze to the Aide by her side and asks, "So, tell me, what was that strange creature like?"

Mirelas says, "he was small and scrawny. . but I think strong. . was said taht he killed one of the humans. . ." Mirelas says, "and he was rather. . . creepy . ."

Aldarwen blinks, "He killed a human?"

Mirelas says, "that's what I heard . . the night of the fight, I can't remember when exactly, or who said it either. ."

Offering those two a greeting with hand raised; the huntress inclines her head to a nod, to each in turn. "Master Aldarwen.." Evidently she's at a loss for the other's name; "Come now..." She seems surprised at words on death and murder, "Who killed what now?"

Mirelas nods politely to Gillhach, "the creature near the fight the other evening, I seem to recall hearing someone say that he killed a human a few nights before taht . . some humans who were hunting him, I think"

Aldarwen looks from Mirelas to Gillhach and then to Mirelas again, her lips pressed in serious expression.

Gillhach sits then, unstopping a waterskin that depended from her belt; unconcerned she seems, "The scrawny one?" She raises a brow, drinking from the skin, "I'd not think he had it in him... or else I'd've taken him whilst I had the chance..."

Aldarwen watches the conversation with silent but worried expression. She has folded her arms and her legs and stays frozen in that position while the other two speak.

Mirelas moves back close to Terridan again and sits down where she can watch him.

"Well," Gasps the huntress, 'twixt gulps; "It was a pitiable little creature... snivelling all the while. Else I'd've had an arrow in his hide the other night... mercy will get the best of me some day." A wry little smile adresses her lips, "Forsooth... I am something of a soft touch..."

Aldarwen blinks many times at the huntress words and just manages to say, "Oh, are you?" She blinks some more times and adds, "So, what impression did you get of this creature?

Gillhach stops the skin, then, chewing for a while 'pon a piece of beef jerkey; "Well," She waves absently, "A coward... a wretch; and yet... pitiable." The huntmaster seems at a loss to describe't.

Aldarwen presses her lips once again, almost closing her eyes in the effort to imagine the strange creature. Lifting then her head she asks, "What is it that you are eating, mellon?"

"Hmm?" Gillhach chews still, eyes questioning before she swallows; managing the question: "What, this?" She motions to the brown strip of dried out cow she has to hand, "'tis but jerky, master Aldarwen. I'd not reccomend it, to be sure."

Aldarwen nods, trying not to stare at the huntress manners, her voice comes out soft and trembling when she finally says, "I had thought that". Her eyes divert then towards Terridan, and she sighs.

Gillhach smiles a knowing smile, "I've manners when it suits me, m'dear." But she follows the healer's gaze, "What of my young cousin? He lives, it seems..."

Aldarwen nods, "Yes, indeed. You don't have to mind about him. As I was saying just a few minutes ago, he's going to be alright in less than two weeks time. His wounds are healing, and his fea is healthy, so there's nothing to worry about, fortunately. But he was very near his end, as they have told me..." She sighs again and becomes silent.
