Terridan and Miriamele's duet
Winner of the Fest of Song

Aldarwen goes to the center of the stage once again and says, "We will now hear a duet, mellyn," she looks towards Miriamele and Terridan and smiles, "Craftmaster of the Gwaith-I-Thein of Lothlorien, Miriamele o Daernoss Arduril and of the Order, Knight Terridan o Daernoss Dinlom".

Before going to the corner again, Aldarwen says softly, almost blushing, "The pair has asked me to play the music for them". She then goes to her place and takes out her harp.

Moving towards either end of the stage, Terridan and Miriamele keep their eyes on each other for several moments, then Miriamele looks to Aldarwen, smiling softly. She nods towards Aldarwen, signaling that they are ready.

Tarinalas slips into the back of the crowd, trying his best to disrupt the festival as little as possible as he enters. A silent nod to those he knows is his only greeting, before stopping to listen.

Entering through the Archway, Lendalas smiles to the pair behind him and steps to the side to allow them entrance to the Theatre area. In hushed tones, he says to Kyriana and Tarinalas, "There are but a few more singers left, but you may sit down at a bench and enjoy them."

Aldarwen sees Miriamele's signal and starts moving her long fingers through the strings of the harp, the melody is slow, but there's some sign of joy in the sounds that come out from the instrument. Aldarwen's fingers move freely through the harp, in their own slow dance.

Following Lendalas and Tarinalas as they enter through the archway, Kyriana nods slowly at the Herald's words. Slipping through the crowd, the yound maiden sits at a bench in the back, smiling slightly as the she turns to listen to the singers.

Terridan and Miriamele stand on either ends of the stage, facing away from each other. Then, after several moments, the music appears to reach them, and Miriamele begins to sing softly, though her voice carrys throught the theatre with ease. As she sings, she slowly turns towards Terridan,

My Friend, how you amaze me, my heart leaps at your name,
My mind reels with golden memories, some of fortune, some of fame.
That you have shared with me. This I never forget;
The priceless treasure of your love-I am forever in your debt.

Aldarwen goes on playing, the melody growing with the voices, going slowly up and down. Peaceful and heart-filling, the music accompanies them as they keep singing.

Terridan suddenly joins Miriamele in song, his voice lifting to the tall mallyrn that surround them. As he sings, he too begins to turn towards her, his eyes bright with happiness. The two begin to sing together, their voices matching each other flawlessly,

As I take every step, I see you, I feel you, loving tender touch,
To bounce your way to my heart, open always to your embrace.
Love me as you will, and I return the love,
For Always I'm yours, together, in love.

Aldarwen keeps playing, a wide smile drawn in her lips, as the song grows sweet and joyful.

As the two finally turn, fully facing each other, they slowly begin to walk forward towards one another. Their eyes meet, and they seem to close out all around them, focusing only on each other. Miriamele breaks off from singing, allowing Terridan to continue alone,

With no other can I share the euphoria and the pain.
That fickle fate casts my way- the losses, the gains.
As I sit here now and watch you - in silent slumber you pass the night
And the moon and I will speak together, passing time until the light.

Ithilhin listens to the song with a faint smile. When he glances outside, however, and sees the slanting rays of the sun, he realizes he has to depart. Standing slowly, he makes his way to the archway. He tries to remain unobtrusive as he exits.

Miriamele softly begins to sing again, joining Terridan in the song. They steadily move towards each other, closing the distance between them slowly. Their voices rise slightly, once again filling the theatre with the melody of their voices, their eyes still locked,

As I take every step, I see you, I feel you, loving tender touch,
To bounce your way to my heart, open always to your embrace.
Love me as you will, and I return the love,
For Always I'm yours, together, in love.

Shifting in his seat, Lendalas listens to the love song unfold itself among the gathered elves. With a soft sigh, he hears the emotion in the song itself as it graces his ears. Enjoying the music, Lendalas closes his eyes and leans back in his seat.

The two continue to sing together now, and they both lift their arms towards one another, still steadily closing the distance between them, their voices peak as one, and the song seems to reach every corner of the threatre. The two now stand but a few feet from each other now, and close the final distance as they continue to sing,

There is no other like you, and none will there ever be
Oh how precious in my sight my friend, you are to me.
You are forever in my heart, a part of who I am
You helped to shape a better me - if I am a lion, you, are the lamb.

As the last few words are sung, the two grow steadily quiet, and as they do, they slowly embrace one another. They hold each other for what appears to be forever, then slowly kiss lovingly.

Aldarwen goes on playing, smiling at the pair as the sing so sincerily. The music goes on for a bit as the pair finishes singing, accompaning their kiss, and then it softly fades away.

Loria sighs softly and applauds the duo.

As the song ends, Lendalas opens his eyes and lets the silence hang for a long beat, not wanting to break what spell that has been sung. But, as the applause picks up, he lifts his hands and claps as loud as anyone.

Calelia claps and grins.

Earsul smiles broadly as the song concludes, and he swiftly joins in the applause.

Ainael enters the archway calmly, smiling pleasantly.

Terridan and Miriamele look at each other for a long while, smiling widely to each other, they then begin to decend the steps slowly, still locked, though now arm in arm.
