Onodrim
Aldarwen's performance

Aldarwen goes towards the centre of the stage once again, still holding the harp in her hands, she giggles for a second and then says with her usual sweet voice, "I will now sing myself, representing the Glirdain of Lothlorien".

Ainael applaudes for Aldarwen.

Terridan looks towards the stage, smiling widely. He gently wraps an arm around Miriamele, and kisses her softly on the cheek.

Aldarwen's fingers start moving around the harp smothly once again, filling the place with peace and stillness. Her eyes are closed and she's deeply concentrated in her playing.

You have the sensation you are arriving to an old place, where time hasn't been able to touch its privacy, you can feel there's an old forest around you and with each note you hear the breeze making leaves quiver and rustle. Aldarwen breathes deeply in a kind of sigh and starts murmuring some light sounds, then begins to sing softly and windly, going in a tiny crescendo.

There's sweet music calling from a secret forest,
like a slow thunder come to us the voices of the oldest,
green and golden leaves shine in this so strange wood,
where you may find peace and bliss if your soul is good.
Through fate and time the trees green and mighty grow,
clad in glossy leaves that they proudly show.

Going over their land swiftly, on unbending legs,
transmitting life and joy, are the huge and ancient Ents,
the tallest and strongest race into the world born
whose oldest and more sapient one is called Fangorn.
Silent but powerful they are, and timeless wise,
nature's secrets hidden in the flicker of their eyes.

Terridan listens to Aldarwen intently, his hand intertwining with Miriamele's. She leans into him gently, and they both listen to the song unfold.

Aldarwen goes on singing, her voice sweetly filling the place as her fingers play around the harp strings.

Giant forest guardians, shephards of trees they are,
they love woods more than even the children of the stars.
They are made from the bones of the earth of old,
In their hearts so many names and stories they hold.
For they have seen thrive and decline many races,
And still nothing changing in their eyes or faces.

Earsul smiles as the song continues, as it conjures up memories of his own encounters with the Onodrim.

The Bard stops singing but continues to mutter some sweet sounds that mix with the harp notes and create the sensation of a smooth waterfall. She continues playing with her fingertips through the cords and everything seems to be surrounded by water. She breathes deeply and begins the following verse with a smile.

In their houses rivers flow and give them nurture,
with that water they can make shine the whole nature.
Mysterious power of the old wood glows in their draughts,
as mysterious is the deepness and force of their thoughts.
Out in the forest, the sun on top of the birches gleams,
The trees have their own voices and sing along the streams.

The cookie that presents such a fragrant smell is held at Rumil's mouth-level for several stanzas of the song, such as the captivating lyrics take the guard's interest away from the dessert.

Ainael feels his spirit move within him as he listens, raptured by the heavenly voice of Aldarwen.

Terridan and Miriamele both listen to the song, though Terridan has a look of knowing on his face.

Ents love dearly the slope of hills, and the wildwoods
they devote their lives to great trees, for they are good.
Their hands, rough but tender, are the ones of who
has worked long to make the wonder of creation grew.
Although look very different one from another they may,
Ents are all the same in their hearts and eyes grey.

Luithil enters in joyful mood and sits down and makes sure not to interrupt

Aldarwen smiles wide, as she sings the last stanza with clear, full of happiness, voice.

Giant forest guardians, shephards of trees they are,
they love woods more than even the children of the stars.
They are made from the bones of the earth of old,
In their hearts so many names and stories they hold.
For they have seen thrive and decline many races,
And still nothing changing in their eyes or faces.

From the beautiful green and white instrument, music continues growing, after the maiden finishes the song and those sounds illustrate nature making its way through time, with an overwhelming quantity of notes, that gets you near to shuddering. Then it starts to fade slowly and you are filled completely with peace, and some (if possible) new love for nature is growing in your heart.

Terridan listens to Aldarwen finish the song, his eyes closed. As the music slowly fades, he opens his eyes, and looks over to Miriamele, kissing her gently on the cheek.

The cookie held at mouth's level by Rumil is unconsciousily dropped to the floor as the guard heartily claps at the conclusion of Aldarwen's song, adding a few short, high-pitched whistles as well. Only after doing so, does Rumil begin wondering what's happened to his snack ...

Ainael smiles, a tear in his eye, and claps with fervor for the beautiful song.

Luithil listens as the song ends and his heart is filled with the warmest feeling he has felt in a long time. He smiles and claps.

Terridan and Miriamele begin to applaud Aldarwen's song, smiling widely as they do.

Aldarwen bows her head for those clapping and softly says, "Thank you, mellyn".
