Ambiguous White Aldarwen goes to the center of the stage again. She smiles and says, "Now, of the Glirdain of Lothlorien, Learner Calelia o Daernoss Arduril". She resumes her place at the corner of the stage as she sees Calelia approaching. Giving her hand a squeeze as she stands, Earsul leans back in his seat with a smile, awaiting her song. Loria smiles toward the stage. A figure in blue silently appears and walks to the very edge of the stage. Fluidly, the figure sinks to her knees, sitting on her heels, her bare arms hang loosely at her side. Her gaze turned to the sky, an expression of reminiscing manifested on her face. Looking up at Calelia, Ithilhin smiles reassuringly and winks confidently to the Learner before relaxing and waiting for the song to begin. Calelia closes her eyes and waits a moment for the ethereal mood she is creating to take effect. Tuonoorwen folds her hands on her chest and half-closes her eyes, awaiting the song. Terridan looks towards Calelia, his face showing curiousity as he waits for his friend to begin her song. Slowly rising to a full kneeling position, as if growing, Calelia lifts her body as her voice melts into the scene. A quiet whisper sings:
Raising her arms slowly over her head, in contiunation of her body rising she continues, her voice ever rising:
Terridan listens to Calelia intently, a slight smile forming on his face as she sings. He leans towards Earsul, and gives him a pat on the shoulder, though he says nothing as to not interrupt Calelia. Aelin sits very quietly as he listens to the beautiful song, very unlike himself. The Aide smiles as the song continues, seeming much more at ease with its theme than he was with the Bachelor's. Turning, a little startled, he smiles to Terridan, and then returns his gaze to his fiance. Ithilhin smiles, listening enraptured to Calelia's voice. He nudges Earsul with an even brighter smile and a nod before giving his full attention to Calelia again. Slowly bringing herself to her feet, she walks trancelike, arms uplifted towards the right edge of the stage:
Her arms snap down to her side and she stomps on the first two words, her demeanor gradually softening again:
Ithilhin's head sways slightly from side to side with the melody as he smiles faintly. Listening to the words, he is seemingly taken in entirely by the song. Wrapping her arms around her body, cacoon like, and then exploding as if from bondage, she concludes:
Terridan leans back into his chair, listening to Calelia's song calmly. He smiles slightly, immersing himself in the song. Calelia soundlessly leaves the stage, without so much as a glance to the audience. Loria applauds. Terridan begins to applaud softly, smiling widely as he does, "Excellent, mellon, truly wonderful." Aldarwen smiles broadly as Calelia finishes, and says, "That was breath-taking, mellon". Aelin applauds, his face all smiles and his eyes alight. Ithilhin applauds suddenly and very noisily. Stopping gradually, he then smiles. "That was marvelous, Calelia, truly." He makes room for her to sit next to Earsul on the bench again. Earsul applauds with the crowd, standing to meet her as she exits the stage. Enveloping her in an embrace, he says softly, "That was ..., .... ... ...," he smiles. Calelia blushes and hugs Earsul. |
