Rose Garden
You stand in a small rose garden dazzled in white, red, and yellow. Placed in an intricate pattern about the garden, a walkway made up of small, uplifted ceramic tiles form rings of walking space surrounding a large golden mallorn planted in the center which glints in the light. Here and there, benches, one with a lighted leg, are placed for guests to enjoy the shade and the scenery. To the east, a large silver gate, reflections blinking in and out, arches over the entrance to the garden. To the north, hidden by a tall hedge, a set of stairs can be seen leading to a talan up above. Shown by the starlight, twinkling down from the sky, all is quiet in the Garden.

The morning sun of this clear spring day fills the garden with strong light. The fragance of the many roses dances in the air as a soft breeze blows from the south. Covered by a too large and too masculine cloak, a maiden is sitting with her back against a rough tree. Her face looks east, and her gaze seems totally lost in thought, she might even be asleep. Lying upon her lap a small green and white harp is caressed slowly by her long fingers, the only signal of her being awake.

Kathalis smiles softly as he makes his way through the garden, looking to Aldarwen he grins and tries to make no sound..

No matter the effort of the guard to step lightly, the maiden shakes her head slightly as he approaches and her fingers get stopped on the strings of the harp. Her words come quick to her lips, as she turns to look at the new comer, "Is that you, Te...", she stops in the middle of the word as her eyes meet Kathalis' and she smiles sweetly, "It's my dear Kathalis, Mae Govannen!". After a couple of seconds, her green eyes light up and the smile broadens, while she keeps staring into his eyes.

Kathalis smiles softly and says, "Ah Mae govennen mellon, I hope I didn't wake you." moving over next to you he smiles and extends a hand towards you..

The maiden hesitates for a moment at the extended hand. Her eyes go from the guard's own orbs and the hand she's offered. Finally, she extends her hand just by the side of Kathalis', palm up and her long fingers extended. She blinks many times and stays still, waiting for his reaction.

Kathalis smiles softly and clasps your hand lightly between both of his own and says softly, "How fare thee this morning, good Aldarwen?" his eyes shine softly in the low light of the garden..

Her gaze falling to the green grass that surrounds her, twice does the bard open her lips to answer the question posed to her, and twice does she shut her moth again, with a soft sigh. Finally, after some moments of silence she answers, "I'm fine, I guess...". Starting from his feet and going up to his blonde hair, Aldarwen scans the figure of her interlocutor and then says, "Maybe you would like to sit by my side for a short while, mellon... While you rest from your duties?" She touches the patch of grass by her right with her hand and smiles invitingly towards the guard.

Kathalis smiles softly as nods slightly, as he moves to sit next to her, "Why only you guess mellon?" a touch of concern showing in his voice.."

The maiden bites her lips a couple of times as her hand starts playing without thought with a part of the cloak she's wering. After sighing deeply once again she says, "It's been a long and hard winter... I was lost... Lost in my own land. Lost to my own thoughts..." She makes a slight pause, and then goes on with her voice a little bit more happy, "But it's over now... Fortunately, it's over".

Kathalis nods and slowly, and leans over giving you a light hug, "well you are back with friends now mellon." he leans back and looks you in the eyes..

The white and delicate hands of the Bard can't remain still, even as she returns the deep look of the guard with a gaze full of light, her hands keep moving: she takes off the cloak that was covering her and folds it three times. For a long moment, just the song of a bird up in the trees may be heard, the two elves looking at each other. Then, the maiden closes her eyes and says, almost to herself, "Yes, I'm back with friends. I'm lucky to have such wonderful friends".

Nodding the guard says softly, "Know this Mellon, no matter what else happens, you will always have friend here." his hand reaching up to lightly caress the maiden's cheek.

As she feels the hand of her friend on her cheek, Aldarwen smiles calmly for a moment. Her own hand goes to get hold of the one that is caressing her, touching it lightly in a thankful gesture. Again the sigh appears at her lips, and again the whole expression upon her face seems to express deep worry. Holding Kathalis' hand with warmness, she stares to a near rose and says, "Mellon, I need some advice..." She pauses and it seems she's about to stop, but then goes on, "I have a problem... I don't know what to do".

Kathalis says softly, "Anything mellon. Anything at all you need of me, you only need but ask."

Aldarwen nods many times in silence, her eyes now stopping on the folded cloak that lies by her side. She starts speaking in a very low voice, almost a whisper, "It's this situation..." she stops and looks away from the guard, trying to hide the strong blush that floods her cheeks, "I don't know how to call it exactly... But..." The words fumble upon her lips, her eyes returning once again to the cloak, her free hand caressing it slowly.

Kathalis nods slowly and smiles watching you closely.

Her cheeks still burning in bright red, the maiden's hand that is lying upon the protection of Kathalis' shivers as she speaks, with trembling voice, "I think I'm in love". Suddenly big fat tears appear at her eyes and fall to the grass, one by one, marking their paths on the red cheeks of the Silvan Maiden.

Kathalis looks to you and nods, his eyes glinting with happeness as he says, "That is great mellon, who is the lucky fellow?" lightly patting your shoulder

Aldarwen shakes her head eagerly, the tears still running upon her cheeks. Her gaze falls totally down, and her hair covers her like a blonde curtain. From behind the curtain the weak whisper of her voice says, "He doesn't love me."

Kathalis leans back slightly from you and blinks, leaning perhaps a bit to far, he presses back into one of the rose bushes pricking himself across the back witha soft "Ouch..." he blinks and looks to you and says, "Are you sure mellon? have you spoke to him of this or are you just assumeing from his demenor?"

Her attention called by the short expression of pain from the guard, the maiden raises her eyes immediately and stares at him for a moment, making sure that it was nothing of importance. She then breathes in and out deeply, in a great effort to calm herself and then answers with a light shake of her head, "I just know, he can't love me".

Kathalis reaches around behind him to pull at a few presistant thorns at his back and says softly, "Why is that mellon?" he looks you deeply in the eyes, his own very serious...

Getting more concerned about the trouble with the thorns -her healing soul showing up-, the maiden inclines her body toward one of her sides to have a look at the guard's back. Extending a hand, she removes the few thorns that were lingering on his clothes. She returns, then, very slowly to her former position, one of her hands lightly touching the folded cloak, her face turned toward Kathalis', but her eyes lowered in an expression of shame. Her voice is full of sadness as she says, "It's all so very wrong. He just can't love me". She raises her eyes to meet the one's of her friend, and asks eagerly, "What shall I do? Shall I leave the forest, so that I don't see him anymore? "

Kathalis looks you in the eyes seriously, yet thankfully as he says with a low yet strong voice "I take the one you love is married mellon?" he lighlty touches your shoulders and says softly, "I believe I know how you feel mellon..."

A new light comes sudden to the green eyes of the maiden as she eagerly asks, "Do you?"

Kathalis nods and smiles softly, "Aye mellon, I think i do, you know how much my beloved Talia means to me." he looks you deeply in the eyes and says, "This does not mean I can not have feeling for, or even love others, it isnt exactly the same as what I feel for her..." he looks you in the eyes, "As I have love for you...Like a sister..."

Aldarwen nods silently, accepting the sweet words from the guard as they sooth her wounded heart. She stays silent, one or two tears coming from her eyes now and then as she stairs into the distance. After a long moment, her gaze turns back to Kathalis, and she asks again, "What do you advice me to do, mellon?"

Kathalis smiles and says, "I would suggest you consider him as a brother for now mellon nothing more, if he truely means that much to you seperations would be bad for you as well..."

Aldarwen's head moves very slowly up and down, and she swallows hard. Her hands move up to her face and wipe the tears from her cheeks and eyes and she forces a thin smile, "A brother. Yes, that sounds sensible." She then smiles broader and holds one of Kathalis' hands with both of hers and says in a happier tone, "Thank you, mellon. I'll do as you say".

Kathalis looks you deeply in the eyes, his own shinning softly in the afternoon light, with compassion for you and says, "After all many of us already consider you as a sister or more." his lifts his hand lightly to brush the tears from your cheek, "The lady in white, come to sooth our pain.."

The smile upon her lips growing, her eyes lighting up, Aldarwen seems to cheer up immediately as Kathalis touches her. She leans forward and hugs him, although not too tightly. In a sweet whisper she repeats, "Thanks, Kathalis, I feel much better now".

Holds you lighlty to him Kathalis whispers back softly to you, "Good mellon." as he release you he steps back and smiles, "If you ever need me for anything else just let me know.."

Aldarwen grins and answers in a merry tone, "Your company is always a pleasure to me. If you have some more free time to spare with this heart-broken-lady any of these days, you'll probably find me here or very near this place.

Kathalis nods and smiles, "Aye I come here or to the hotsprings offten to think..

Aldarwen bows her head slightly and says, "So, we shall meet again soon, mellon. I don't want to interrupt your duties anymore", her tone has a touch of apology upon it. After a second or two of a pause she says, "Farewell, my dear friend."

Kathalis smiles with a slight bow, "Until then mellon."

Aldarwen
You look upon a slender elf maiden, her eyes are dark green and if you look deep in them you can see the leaves of the trees of her childhood still quivering. She has long hair and the color is a bit greenish, like the grass in automn.
She's wearing a long green dress, that shimmers with different shades of green as the light reflects on it. A thin silver belt tightens around her waist. Hanging from the belt at her waist there is a small leather bag, that seems filled with many things of different shapes. She's smiling, but in her expression you may notice she's not completely happy. She wears no necklace or rings of any kind.

Under his grey cloak which is held together by a clasp, shaped in the symbol of House Raavindonserke, can be seen a glint of metal off his ringmail armor, also the hilt of his sword can be seen. He wears a pair of black pants. Upon his right wrist can be seen a bracer of intertwined silver and gold, and encrusted with jewels of many kinds. Around his neck hangs a simple medallion in the shape of a Falcon. A simple golden ring can be seen shining on the ring finger.
