Daernoss Aderthad (S. 'reuniting')

House-Heads:
Elena and Sajara

Restrictions: Sinda-only.

Visual distinction: Clothing is often adorned with the house symbol of the Nightengale.

Worldview: Aderthad is the most militant of the four houses. They are the first to call for any type of action against yrch or other such dangers. They also hold a somewhat friendly rivalry with the Laiquendi, for these two houses sit at the very end of the political spectrum.

Foriegn Policy: Elf and Elf-Friend visitors are always welcome, for they feel that all good creatures should have a joyful life. Unwelcome visitors are treated as clear and present dangers. Further, they are reluctant travellers themselves, prefering instead that those to be in counsel with should journey to this blessed land.

Average Member: While the House has a strong military presence, being a member of the Guard is by no means a requirement. Throughout its history, members have prided themselves on working towards a balance in spiritual and martial skills. They feel a great joy for all life, and hold it high in value.

History
In the Second Age, Silgon of the Noldo came to Lorien where he met the Silvan maid, Telian, fell in love, and spent many years with her in blissful marriage. In the days when Eregion was threatened by the armies of Sauron, he went to defend it with his two sons. He was killed by the Nazgul and his heirs were captured, never to be seen again.
At this time, Malgon, his third son was born in Lorien, and he joined, at the end of the Second Age, Amdir's army and went to fight in the Last Alliance. Telian, his mother gave him a silver diadem with a blue gem, that one which was left in Lorien by Silgon before his departure to Eregion. After the defeat of Dark Lord Malgon liberated two elves from a captured Orc fortress. These two noticed his diadem and remembered it is the same as that which their father Silgon wore as asign of a Head of their House.
In this way the long sundering of the House was ended and thus they took the name Aderthad, that is 'Reunited' in Sindarin. Because the eldest brother, who had the right to be Head of the House, entrusted this post to the victorious Malgon, he became Indir of Aderthad. Malgon's sons were Elgon (who in turn had three sons) and Seregon, who begat Tarias.
